Hamilton Pool Preserve is one of Texas' most iconic natural landmarks — a collapsed grotto forming a stunning swimming hole with a 50-foot waterfall cascading over limestone cliffs into emerald green water. The preserve features a quarter-mile hike down to the pool, lush vegetation, and a beach area. Swimming is occasionally restricted due to water quality or bacteria levels, but the hike and views are always spectacular. Reservations are required to enter.
